Why are we doing this?

Growing up in an affluent town as a middle/lower middle class kid was an interesting journey. Making friends was difficult, and getting bullied, picked on and made fun of was easy. I did not have a lot of friends when I was a kid, but I had my imagination and what would become to be known as.....the hobby.

My nerd life became my salvation.

These are some of the things that shaped who I am. I tried many things over my adult years because I always felt like I needed to belong somewhere. Nothing ever really worked out for one reason or another.

I have had the O.G. Nerd concept in my head for 20 years or so. I just always thought it was a funny thing. Getting close to my 50th birthday, it hit me like a Gum Gum Rocket Punch. This is where I belong. I am a nerd, I like games, comics, books, movies, conventions, and the stories of my nerd counterparts.

There are few things that I love more in this world than learning, opening myself up to someone's story. That's why I created O.G. NERD ORIGIN STORIES. Sure it's fun to see the stars and creators, and see them get asked the same questions over and over, but what about you? The collector, the gamer, the cosplayer, the fan. When you see me get ready because I am intrerested.
